Lakeside Excavation successfully completed a multi-faceted upgrade to Saco’s wastewater infrastructure, highlighted by the most technically demanding excavation of our year. Reaching depths of nearly 25 feet, our crew utilized a specialized slide rail trench box system to ensure maximum safety and precision during deep-trench operations.

In addition to the structural upgrades, Lakeside executed a historic maintenance milestone: the clearing and land application of sludge from the municipal sewer lagoons. This critical environmental task had not been performed on these lagoons since their inception, marking the first time in 65 years that this infrastructure has been fully serviced. By navigating these unprecedented conditions and managing the complex disposal process, our team has ensured the long-term reliability and capacity of Saco's sewer system for decades to come.
