Lakeside Excavation Inc. is currently looking for a reliable and skilled Construction Driver. The primary role is to operate various construction vehicles, ensuring the safe transport of materials and equipment to and from job sites. You will be responsible for loading and unloading, regular vehicle maintenance, and adherence to traffic laws and company policies. This position requires a high level of responsibility, safety-consciousness, and a firm understanding of construction processes and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate construction vehicles such as truck tractors, lowboys, dump trucks and equipment trailers, to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites safely.
- Maintain responsibility for loading and unloading of materials, equipment, and machinery, ensuring secure transport.
- Care for the routine inspection, maintenance, and repairs of your vehicle.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the vehicle.
- Ensure that all required permits and licenses for vehicle operations are current and valid.
- Safely dumping Side Dumps.
Qualifications
- A valid driving license and clean driving record.
- Experience in operating heavy-duty vehicles and construction-specific vehicles.
- A strong understanding of construction processes and safety guidelines.
- Good physical health and strength for loading and unloading tasks.
- Ability to carry out basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
